Job: Automation/Manual Tester

Salary: £40k-45k pro rata (Dependant on Experience)

Job Type: 3-Month Fixed Term Contract (with the likelihood to extend beyond)

Job Location: Leeds

Workplace Type: Hybrid (3 days in office)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing procedures to ensure software products meet quality standards.
• Perform API testing to assess the functionality, reliability, and performance of application programming interfaces.
• Conduct database testing to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Utilise SQL or other data technologies to manipulate and query databases for testing purposes.
• Analyse testing requirements and identify appropriate tools for automation.
• Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) for selected automation tools on a per-system or per-application basis.
• Design and develop automation suites to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Code automation scripts using preferred languages and frameworks, with a preference for Selenium WebDriver and Python.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in manual testing methodologies and techniques.
• Proficiency in API testing tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with database testing methodologies and SQL querying.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify testing requirements.
• Experience in selecting, implementing, and configuring automation tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for automation Scripting.
• Prior experience with Selenium WebDriver is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
