Support Engineer (Permanent)
Location: London Arena Country: UK Rate: £25k - 30k per annum
1st Line Support Engineer - London/City - OnsiteAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a 1st Line Support Engineer with a global supply chain and logistics company. The role will support IT requests and tasks that are managed effectively and respond in a timely manner, either by completing requests or raising with IT team where necessary. This opportunity is ideally suited to a candidate with some prior commercial experience or a graduate with a keen interest in technology looking to secure their first role.
Role and Responsibilities:- Putting together PC's and setting up hardware across the office.
- Interacting with users assisting them with any issues that need resolving.
- Working alongside senior members of the team gaining experience working in a support role.
- Escalation points to the MSP and following up if no response or response not resolved
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, network issues for end users via phone, email, or remote access.
- Logging, tracking, and documenting all user requests and incidents using a ticketing system.
- Installing, configuring, and updating various applications and devices for end users.
- Providing training and guidance to users on how to use IT systems and tools effectively and securely.
- Collaborating and communicating with other IT staff and vendors to resolve complex or urgent issues.
- Handling other ad hoc IT requests
Essential Skills and Experience:- Relevant educational background or experience in IT Support - 1 to 2 years of preferred experience providing all round technical support to users
- Have Windows/MS Office knowledge, Google, Teams and Office 365
- Have knowledge of PC hardware and software
- Be a team player who can work successfully with other departments in a multi-cultural, multi- lingual environment.
- Able to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
- Service minded, organized and able to work independently with little supervision.
- Be passionate about IT in delivering customer service to a range of employees across the company
Package:- £25,000 - £30,000 Basic Salary
