Test Automation Specialist (Contract)
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland Country: UK
 

6 months with potential extensions

£- Via Umbrella
Hybrid working - Edinburgh/Manchester/London 1 day per week in the office
With one of Lorien's top banking clients

  1. Previous experience of creating test automation framework in a regulated environment within Banking or Financial Services sector.
  2. Data is all around them so it is key they have experience of working with Streaming & Batch technology stack - Confluent Kafka, Mongo DB, Streamsets, IBM CDC, Hive, Hadoop, API, Informatica, Airflow, and other similar technologies
  3. SME level skills and experience of designing/architecting test automation solutions, ability to creatively problem solve is critical for success
  4. Strong hands-on skills and experience of working with modern programming/Scripting languages, troubleshooting and resolving day to day issues - Java, Python, Groovy, JavaScript, TypeScript or similar
  5. Strong skills and knowledge of Public cloud technologies to enable Cloud First delivery - AWS EKS, EC2, S3 Buckets, Athena, Lambda, Glue and other services
  6. Strong experience of setting up Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using GitLab Runners
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience of global distributed delivery across UK and India
  8. Background in Testing and/or an understanding of E2E Testing process (functional and non-functional) in a Scaled Agile delivery
