Cloud Engineer - 6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Hybrid Working

Hamilton Barnes proudly represents a leading UK Supermarket currently seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in driving the optimization and efficiency of their cloud infrastructure.

This exciting opportunity offers a 6-month contract with the potential for extension, allowing you to drive a market-leading clients, cloud infrastructure. Based in a office in London, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid working model.

What you will Ideally Bring:

  • Proficient in Azure with deep knowledge in setting up Enterprise-grade platforms.
  • Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing Azure solutions, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework.
  • Strong technical skills in infrastructure as code (IaS) using Terraform and GitHub, programming languages such as Python
  • Experienced in implementing DevOps principles and CI/CD practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on designing, implementing, and enhancing Azure-based solutions, emphasizing areas like compute, network, storage, monitoring, and security.
  • Work closely with Azure Platform engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to implement Enterprise Scale platform and Landing zones, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior engineers, promoting best practices in Azure administration, development, and DevOps processes.
  • Utilize automation tools like Terraform, PowerShell, and Python to automate tasks, and develop robust testing procedures for infrastructure using tools like Terratest.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6 months (View to Extension)
  • Day Rate: Up to £550 Per Day (Inside IR35)
  • Location: Hybrid - London/2-3 days a week
  • Start Date: March 2024
