To drive computer vision and data algorithms, they now have an exciting opening for an experienced Engineering Manager to be based in London.

Engineering Manager responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee a dynamic technical team responsible for driving core computer vision capabilities and data algorithms.
• Strategically plan and execute the team's roadmap and technology, actively contributing to strategy formulation, sprint ceremonies, reporting, OKRs, workstream ownership, and project management.
• Provide comprehensive line management support, including pastoral care, conducting personalised 1-1 sessions, coaching team members, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Directly manage technical aspects such as design, architecture, and problem-solving, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Actively engage in direct technical contributions, including implementing and reviewing technical solutions to enhance team performance.

Engineering Manager qualifications, experience, and traits:

• Proven leadership experience in effectively managing high-performing technical teams.
• Strong technical proficiency in key areas such as Golang/Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL, computer vision, and AI/ML.
• Demonstrated track record of success in innovative deep tech startup environments, emphasizing R&D work and new product development.
• Exceptional ability to craft and execute successful technical visions and roadmaps, driving organizational growth.
• Skilled in nurturing and developing team members while advocating for their needs within the company.
• Customer-outcome-centric mindset, adept at integrating business context into technical planning and delivery processes.
• Self-driven and enthusiastic leader, dedicated to motivating and inspiring team members.
• Experience in implementing initiatives to enhance development efficiency and improve the overall developer experience, with a focus on outcome measurement.
