Hamilton Barnes is representing a leading financial bank who are seeking a talented HPE NonStop Java Architect to join our team on a 6-month contract basis, operating within IR35 regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work within the financial sector for a prominent European bank.

You will be responsible for developing Java applications for the HPE NonStop platform (formerly known as Tandem). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with HPE NonStop Tandem systems, including hardware, software, and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Java applications tailored for the HPE NonStop platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and compatibility.
  • Utilize your expertise in HPE NonStop Tandem systems, including hardware, software, and architecture, to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Code Java applications specifically for HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Install and test new releases/products such as IBM MQ, Python, NonStop Webserver, and Batch definition.
  • Manage NonStop Security, ensuring systems are secure and compliant with relevant standards.
  • Handle database management tasks, including SQL/MP and SQL/MX databases.
  • Perform system and application performance analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations.

Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive experience developing Java applications for HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with HPE NonStop Tandem systems, including hardware, software, and architecture.
  • Proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of database management, including SQL/MP and SQL/MX databases.

Contract Details:

  • Location: London/Hybrid
  • Day Rate: Up to £600 Per Day (Inside IR35)
