Deerfoot IT Recruitment is helping a local authority find a Full time Contract IT Procurement Manager, and the hybrid role comes with a salary based on a rate of up to £30 per hour and excellent benefits. This position is a six-month contract with potential for extension.

As a IT Procurement Manager, you will work in the procurement and commercial team, having responsibility for a range of procurements valued over £100,000. You will be responsible for delivering compliant procurements that achieve value for money and high quality outcomes.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Plan and deliver effective procurement processes that are compliant with all relevant legislation
• Act as a subject matter expert and work proactively with service areas to ensure that procurement documentation and processes are fit for purpose
• Work with Procurement and Commercial colleagues to develop documentation
• Develop processes within the e-tendering system.

To apply for this IT Procurement Manager role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Knowledge and understanding of UK public sector procurement regulations
• Extensive technical and practical knowledge of the regulation framework which local authorities operate within
• Knowledge of procurement systems in a public-sector procurement team
• Supplier relationship management and market segmentation knowledge.
