Overview: Emagine is collaborating with a distinguished investment bank to recruit a proficient Systems Support Analyst. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant programme of work aimed at migrating and amalgamating the banks various branch systems and business flows within the Back Office Operations area.

Job Description:

As a Technical Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations and technical systems crucial to our client's business functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive functional and technical support for Back Office operations.

Offering technical support for systems typical of the Operations business functions, including reconciliation applications, SWIFT, and Post Trade life cycle applications (ideally GLOSS).

Navigating Windows and Linux file directories, analysing application log files, and writing ad-hoc T-SQL queries.

Assisting in system testing and guiding users in building functional plans for user testing.

Collaborating with vendors to identify and resolve technical issues.

Reading through XML & JSON message formats and comprehending ISO 15022 SWIFT message formats, particularly 500 and 900 series messages.

Demonstrating expertise in RDBMS, covering database schema and design, SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance analysis & tuning.

Translating client requirements into solution designs and testing data integration and migration.

Analyzing defect cause and effect and documenting solutions.

Possessing a strong understanding of trading through to settlement operations.

Utilizing basic UNIX commands for navigation

Desired Skills:

5+ Years experience in a similar role; Application Support L3/Tech Analyst

Experience at an Investment Bank in functional and technical support of operations systems.

Strong proficiency in reconciliation applications

Proficiency in navigating Windows and Linux file directories

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Familiarity with basic UNIX commands
