IT Systems Specialist - Core Infrastructure (Permanent)

Location: Cheshire Country: UK Rate: £35,392 per annum + benefits
 
An NHS organisation in the North West are looking for an experienced Senior Server Infrastructure Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis, with a Band 6 starting salary + many benefits.
Must be an experienced Server Engineer, MCSE certified with in-depth understanding of VM Ware, Hyper V, Citrix and Horizon VDI. SQL Server and SCCM also essential.

Further duties can be seen below:
  • Operational management including system design, configuration and technical support for a wide range of IT Infrastructure systems.
  • General day to day system support, response to user problems and enquiries, the set up and installation of software and hardware, implementing software and hardware upgrades, ensuring system reliability and undertaking all systems management and administration.
  • To include liaising with 3rd party support suppliers and keeping maintenance documentation up to date.
  • To respond to the ever-changing Infrastructure environment to ensure the systems in use by the organisation are fit for purpose. This includes supporting existing systems:
  • Management of existing systems and ensuring patches, upgrades and security modifications are completed where necessary
  • Manage all allocated work items
  • Understanding and ensuring compliance with user/National requirements
  • End to End Communication including status reporting, risk and issue management.
