IMS with Oracle PCRF Engineer (Contract)
Location: Bristol & Newcastle Country: UK Rate: Negotiable
Flint is looking for an IMS with Oracle PCRF Engineer to work on a contracting opportunity with one of the main Telco providers in the UK.
This contract is INSIDE IR35 and main locations are Bristol & Newcastle. However, the ideal candidate can be based elsewhere in the country as long as they are happy to occasionally travel to meet with their colleagues in Newcastle for training/team building.
The individuals will be supporting the Oracle PCF platform and therefore require an understanding either of that platform (most desirable) or another PCF/PCRF product/environment.
Skillset Required:
- Strong understanding of networking at a Linux Kernel level
- IP rules, IP routes
- Usage of tcpdum
- Proficient with Shell Scripting
- Able to write scripts
- Able to read scripts written by others
- Understanding of Linux package managers
- Confident with use of/concepts around: JSON, CURL, API calls
- Confident in virtualization & Cloud concepts
- Proficient use of OpenStack & Kubernetes
- Understanding of Docker
- Experience with either:
- Oracle PCF product (ideally confident, but not necessary as long as they have the other skills listed)
- Other PCF/PCRF experience
- Understanding of what IMS is and how it works
- Confident with MySQL and NDB cluster
- Confident with Oracle Linux distro
- Proficient use of Ansible, Terraform, Grafana, Prometheus
- Confident use of ELK stack, specifically Elasticsearch
- General understanding of an LTE mobile network and how it works
- Understanding of what 5G SA is trying to achieve
- Experience with diameter protocols
