Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Systems Engineer to join our client, a leader in the Utilities industry. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and implementing improvements in various areas including Active Directory, Firewall, and Networking. If you are passionate about driving technological advancements and ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of energy to communities, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of role-based access in Active Directory as defined by the customer
- Collaborate with the customer to review National Grid IT Standards and formulate an implementation plan for alignment
- Perform full WireShark capture and analysis for Firewall mapping
- Document Firewall map and ensure implementation of Windows Defender Firewall as documented
- Review and update network topology (Head End)
- Review, amend, and document Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- Support testing and review network low level design for Quality of Service (QoS)
- Develop and implement a port security plan based on customer hardware/software capability
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a network/systems engineer
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Defender Firewall
- Familiarity with network topologies and Access Control Lists
- Experience with QoS and port security implementation
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
