Job Title: Systems Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Systems Engineer to join our client, a leader in the Utilities industry. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and implementing improvements in various areas including Active Directory, Firewall, and Networking. Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of role-based access in Active Directory as defined by the customer
• Collaborate with the customer to review National Grid IT Standards and formulate an implementation plan for alignment
• Perform full WireShark capture and analysis for Firewall mapping
• Document Firewall map and ensure implementation of Windows Defender Firewall as documented
• Review and update network topology (Head End)
• Review, amend, and document Access Control Lists (ACLs)
• Support testing and review network low level design for Quality of Service (QoS)
• Develop and implement a port security plan based on customer hardware/software capability

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a network/systems engineer
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Defender Firewall
• Familiarity with network topologies and Access Control Lists
• Experience with QoS and port security implementation
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
