Site Reliability Engineer (Permanent)
Location: London Country: UK Rate: up to - £120k
Our client, a prestigious financial services house, is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their infrastructure team. The Site Reliability Engineer will work closely with other teams to ensure the reliability of the Microsoft Azure Platform and scale the wider infrastructure estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Optimise, monitor and troubleshoot the performance and reliability of systems and applications.
- Develop and implement automation tools and processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Participate in incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation measures.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3+ Years experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Role
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with serverless computing, such as Azure Functions.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience with Azure security features.
- Certification in Azure, such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
