We're looking for a Head of Lower School to join our team at Bricklehurst Manor School in Stonegate. As Head of Lower School, you will be an outstanding educationalist and want to ensure the school is leading light for our young people and their families.

Bricklehurst Manor School is a brand-new school in Stonegate, East Sussex, proposed to cater for 60 pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for anybody who wants to be a part of the successful development of a brand-new setting and make a difference to education of our pupils.

About the Role

  • Undertake the normal responsibilities of the class teacher
  • Be a member of the senior leadership team.
  • Design and implement an innovative curriculum to secure engagement and positive progression to the Upper School.
  • Assist the Head of School in leading and managing the school
  • Undertake such duties as are delegated by the Head of School
  • Play a major role under the overall direction of the Head of School in formulating and reviewing the School Improvement Plan and the aims and objectives of the school by:
  • Establishing the policies through which they shall be achieved
  • Leading and managing staff and resources to that end
  • Monitoring progress towards their achievement.

To contribute to:

  • Maintaining and developing the ethos, values and overall purposes of the school
  • Formulating the aims and objectives of the school and policies for their implementation
  • To contribute to planning improvement which will translate school aims and policies into actions
