Financial Controller - Immediate Start

An exciting and innovative bioscience business requires a Financial Controller. Based in Oxford, we're looking for someone who is driven, curious, and excited to work on cutting-edge R&D projects. This will be a hands-on role where some element of financial processing will be required, whilst also having great opportunity to lead on a variety of business improvement projects.

You will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, taking a hands-on approach in getting things done.

Your responsibilities will include:

Month-end processes in accordance with GAAP, producing insightful monthly reports for the management team and board of directors.

Budgeting and forecasting working with the management team to clearly understand the impact of forecast changes and support strategic decision-making.

Year-end process, to include preparing and submitting annual financial statements, taking a lead on any audit requirements.

You will be a qualified accountant with 3+ years' experience in a finance or accounting role, with demonstrated expertise in financial management, analysis, reporting, and compliance.

Experience working in a startup or high-growth company environment is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
