Reed in Teesside are seeking a dedicated and confident Legal Secretary to join an established Criminal Team within a reputable, award-winning Law firm. The ideal candidate will be organised, accurate, and able to use their own initiative. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, has excellent typing skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Efficient diary management.
  • Submitting bills into the Legal Aid Portal.
  • High volume of audio typing.
  • Managing email correspondence.
  • Arranging travel for team members.
  • Maintaining client contact and satisfaction.
  • Liaising with internal staff and external parties.
  • Drafting legal documents.
  • Performing general administrative duties.
  • Handling sensitive information with discretion, as exposure to distressing matters may occur.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Background in Crime and legal work is essential.
  • Educated to GCSE levels 4-9, A to C or equivalent qualifications.
  • Good and accurate typing speed.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a busy environment and use initiative.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Proficient level of IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
