Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner

LHH are currently working with a leading Crawley based business in the recruitment of a Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. The role forms part of the Finance Business Partnering team and will involve being a strategic partner in driving the financial decisions that the business makes.

The role will involve month-end processes and deep dive analysis along with supporting on a wide portfolio of IT projects, so a background in partnering with an IT/IS function would be highly advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts which represent company performance.
• Identify and investigate variances to plan and ensuring these are communicated to the business - leading to the identification, and implementation of strategies to ensure success.
• Challenge the business to achieve our goals.
• Attend monthly management meetings with the relevant departments and presenting financial information.
• Lead on analysis of IS projects, including full analysis of costs to date vs the budgets/forecasts, and implementing an accurate forecasting process.
• You will prepare the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts - ensuring the business both understand and buy into the final product.
• Reviewing IS business cases and set up benefit trackers

Key skills/experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven business partnering skills, ideally within an IT/IS function
• Commercial mindset with a focus on continuous development and improvement
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders as needed.
• Strong system skills - Experience of Power BI would be advantageous.

The role is being recruited on a Hybrid basis with the office in Crawley

Salary is circa 55k plus bonus and good benefits
