We are looking for a Shipping Officer to join a Leading Defence Organisation. As a Shipping Officer you will collaborate closely with our export control team, local customs officers, and freight forwarders to ensure the delivery of an exceptional export and shipping service for the business.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Shipping Officer?

• Ensure timely product delivery aligned with project demands.
• Prepare, finalize, and oversee all documentation necessary for export shipments, including transport documents, hazardous goods notes, customs forms, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date Import, Export, and Transport Registers.
• Coordinate with domestic and international transport providers.
• Handle imports and submit Intrastat reports as needed.
• Advocate for functional excellence within operations.
• Support the Export Control Department in adhering to Export License regulations.
• Stay updated on all transport laws, including those concerning prohibited weapons.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all site movements on a daily basis.
