MI Analyst (Permanent)

Location: Cardiff, Wales Country: UK Rate: £30k - £33k per annum + Benefits

My client a leading financial services company are looking to recruit a MI analyst to join their team in Cardiff. The Successful candidate will support Operations and Finance Operations teams in developing and producing high quality, accurate management information (MI) with supporting documentation for BAU, audit, regular reporting and ad-hoc requirements

You will be expected to-
*Collate MI, and design meaningful and clear summaries and reports
*Work independently and take the lead, understands the role, self-starting, technically competent and motivated, with specific technical expertise.
*Understands the structure and make-up of system tables and databases
*Ability to manage a variety of deliverables concurrently.
*Can undertake reconciliation and technical review of the MI being reported and delivered
*Can provide analytical, procedural and technical support or undertake investigation to resolve issues.
*Understands own work in the wider business context and can make judgements about actions to take and when to escalate.
*Previous experience in a developer and/or MI role and excellent numeracy, communication, investigation and problem solving skills.

To be successful-
*Experience of Access and/or Business Objects
*Experience of VBA and/or SQL
*Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Understands methods of reconciliation and data analysis

*IT or similar degree or relevant professional qualification
