Role Overview

  • Assist Senior Architects and Project Managers in the execution of large-scale project specific tasks
  • Preparation of original architectural designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications for buildings
  • Coordinate and integrate design work between the architectural discipline and other engineering disciplines
  • Prepare procurement and subcontract requisition documents and perform associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations
  • Utilize critical thinking to evaluate, select, and apply design skills and techniques to project related assignments
  • Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and job satisfaction
  • Embodies a commitment to external and internal client service

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university with a minimum 1 year progressive related experience
  • In process of becoming a licensed architect
  • Enrollment with National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB)
  • Must be a US citizen

Minimum Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of architectural design, production techniques, building materials, and construction methods for buildings project deliverables.
  • Assist with code reviews and generate code compliance reports/drawings
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
  • Experienced with producing a full, well-coordinated, detailed set of architectural construction documents
  • Has working knowledge of sustainability and its integration into the design and the construction
  • Proficient with Autodesk design suite (eg Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD) to originate 3D model content and produce design deliverables in a multidisciplinary model environment is a must
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Sketchup
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Craetive Suite- Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Has working knowledge of physical building components and delivery/execution to support physical and technical design effort
  • Has the ability to update and coordinate project specific templates and detail library with Architectural Discipline Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in the principles of Systems Engineering
  • Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university
  • US Professional Architect Registration
  • LEED AP certified professional
  • Certification with National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB)
  • Willingness to relocate after assignment completion
