Software Engineering Director Columbus, OH.

Duties: Responsible for leading a team of software engineers at all levels in different locations to execute and deliver a single product to be used by all customer service specialists across the firm. Team executes under Agile-hybrid Methodologies. Delivering new end to end servicing product leveraging new banking architecture which is built on the internal cloud, leverages domain driven design, building autonomous microservices in Java using Kafka messaging, Cassandra database. Focusing on continuous integration leveraging Docker Hub, Travis, Github and leveraging API first strategy using Swagger and Node JS. Leading innovation for the largest JPMC site across the globe and transforming applications, products and technology by leveraging AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & Robotics. Understand application development, infrastructure, risk, cyber security and control. Work with multiple internal co-suppliers, external vendors, and business partners to negotiate and influence driving technology initiatives. Translate business strategy into defined initiatives. Provide 24x7 production support to all critical and non-critical applicant in the risk and audit posture of all applications to ensure the critical breaks are identified and resolved in a timely fashion. Coordinate resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects. Improving the cross product architecture and technology stack across the group by driving more modern development methods including continuous integration - continuous delivery and DevOps. Delivering cost savings and greater efficiency through innovation, process improvement, simplification of technology stack and strategic insourcing of existing vendor partnerships. Managing the regulatory agenda in line with the broader business objectives and working with other key IT business stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery and prioritization of such initiatives. Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members. Responsible for creation of multiyear roadmaps and associated budgets that impact multiple business and technology groups.

Minimum education required: Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum experience required: 11 years of experience in Data Center, Cloud Infrastructure and Agile SDLC, or related experience.

Skills Required: Must have experience with SDLC methodology, including Agile and Waterfall. Must have experience in programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, .NET, Python. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Middleware and integration approaches, data modelling, RESTful API's, Microservices, Containers, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, AWS, Kafka, Cassandra, Cloud Infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation, Automated Testing, CI/CD. Must have experience with Standard Project Lifecycle. Must have demonstrated knowledge of technology infrastructure, including data center, virtual and physical server, storage, and cloud. Must have experience with application development, including Object Oriented programming, service oriented architecture, Scripting and production support. Must have experience with cyber security and control. Must have experience working with multiple business partners and external vendors. Must have experience in Risk Management.
