DEFINITION: Maintain control of children and vehicular traffic at crossing sites to ensure that children cross safely at designated sites. Scope of Duties: Directs actions of children at street intersections to ensure safe crossing. Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and report infractions to the police. Observe vehicles and pedestrians in the area of school crosswalks to report suspicious vehicles or activity. Notification of uncooperative or abusive child.
