Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team at Changing Lives at Home as a Supervising Physician. In this role the Supervising Physician will provide part-time clinical oversight, medical evaluations, and interdisciplinary consultation to support the safe, effective delivery of outpatient mental health services at CLH. This role has the opportunity for fully remote or hybrid work and includes telehealth-based client care, chart review, and supervisory support for frontline clinical staff and Clinical Supervisors.
Weekly Time Allocations
- Telehealth Client Evaluations - 5 hours per week: Conduct virtual sessions with clients who have not been seen within the last 6 months.
- Chart Review and Oversight - 5 hours per week: Review clinical documentation to ensure care, appropriateness, and effectiveness.
- Supervision and Consultation - 5 hours per week: Provide supervision and clinical consultation to therapists, case managers, and Clinical Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth evaluations with assigned clients at least once every 6 months.
- Prescribe or authorize appropriate care plans and interventions.
- Review clinical records for services rendered, ensuring they meet standards for quality and necessity.
- Provide consultation and direct supervision to clinical staff, including therapists and case managers.
- Offer structured support and guidance to Clinical Supervisors overseeing service delivery teams.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical case reviews, and staff development sessions.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Psychiatry.
- Board certified or eligibility in Psychiatry is preferred.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Maryland.
- Experience in outpatient setting and working with addictions is preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health practices and mental health counseling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
