187391 Acute Care APRN/PA Cardiothoracic OR

Cleveland Clinics Mercy Hospital is currently seeking Acute Care APRNs/PAs for opportunities to work in the Cardiothoracic OR. These positions are primarily for the Cardiac OR, This position includes endoscopic and open vein and arterial harvest, as well as first assist at the chest. When not in the O.R you will see pre op patient consults, write progress notes on post op CV surgery patients; and remove IABPs, chest tubes, and pacing wires.

The successful applicant will perform in the first assist role alongside the surgeon in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.

The work schedule is Monday-Friday with a 6:30am start on surgery days.
Call is rotated amongst the team.

APRNs/PAs with OR experience and vein harvesting experience is strongly preferred, however this position is open to newly licensed PA graduates with an OR rotation preferably in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

There will be a comprehensive and extensive orientation/training for APRNs/PAs with limited experience.
