Moore Colson is looking for a dynamic Audit Managers to join our Business Assurance (Audit) team in Atlanta. Business Assurance Managers are responsible for (but not limited to):Performing complex audits and reviewing financial statement audits, benefit plan audits, reviews, and compilationsPreparing financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAPPerforming internal control documentation and testingAssisting Senior Managers, Directors and Partners with consulting projectsTraining and supervising staff and review process of work papers and financial statementsMeet budget and realization goals while supporting staff in meeting their budgeted hours and realization goalsIdentify problem areas and client issues and propose solutions to managersIdentify technical skills needed for improvement and improve through CPE, personal commitment, and on-the-job trainingRequirementsThe successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:Bachelors degree in Accounting and current CPA license required;4-7 years experience in the business assurance/audit side of public accounting; transportation, manufacturing and/or construction experience a major plus;Experience running engagements, leading a team of seniors and associates, and reviewing work papers and financial statements;Superior Excel skills and well-rounded knowledge of audit and accounting principles;Proficiency with CCH Pro fx Engagement and IDEA, software considered a plusConsultative approach with a focus on providing superior client serviceAbility & willingness to travel to client sites as neededEntrepreneurial spiritSelf-directed, autonomous, motivated and ambitiousExceptional and proactive communicator (verbal & written)What We Can Offer YouWe are dedicated to the well-being of our employees and are proud to be consistently recognized as one of Atlanta's Best Places to Work.
