Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant - York, PA The Opportunity Our client is a designer and manufacturer of innovative robotic packaging solutions for the food industry. They have hired us to seek out a Cost Accountant for their York, PA location.

This position reports to the Director of Finance and Accounting and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of accounting as it pertains to the day-to-day operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience: Serve as the financial authority overseeing inventory processes from procurement to project completion. Collaborate with Operations, Shipping/Receiving, and Purchasing to manage and verify stock accuracy.

Administer cycle counts and physical inventories and conduct month-end reconciliations. Monitor and report on revenue and cost streams, analyzing variances monthly. Oversee standard cost calculation and updates, including inventory reserves.

Provide ongoing financial analysis and reporting support. Assist in budgeting and forecasting. Specialize in reporting on cost of goods sold and inventory activities.

Evaluate new product costs and assess profitability factors. Support cross-departmental teams and perform root cause analysis on variances. Utilize monthly results for forecasting and risk assessment.

Qualifications include: BS in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Strong cost systems and analysis skills The preceding is just a brief overview - contact us to find out more!
