Electrical Controls Engineer

Our client is a growing and privately held Chicago area custom food production equipment manufacturer. They're known as a leader in their industry and are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who is ready to grow with them and take on new and challenging custom food production equipment and packaging lines. Client Overview A leading designer, manufacturer, and integrator of food production and robotic equipment Known for being the experts supplying a broad-based range of food production systems and robotic equipment A local company with more than 100 years of experience designing, producing, and installing food production equipment and robotic packaging systems for clients worldwide Position Overview Develop electrical systems and controls for custom food production equipment and robotic packaging systems Create electrical equipment designs for machine controls using servo motor and PLC platforms Prepare detail design reviews and documentation for projects Design, develop and program PLC, HMI and MMI programs from scratch Lead debug and final check out teams for electrical systems Candidate Requirements Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering required More than 2 years electrical design engineering experience in industrial machinery or automation system manufacturing industries Proficiency programming PLCs from scratch Proficiency and knowledge of servo motors Ability to work with customers Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel as needed approximately 15%-20% of the time Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without restrictions Be assured that resumes will be kept strictly confidential until we speak about a specific opportunity and agree to send it to a client of ours.
