Location-wise, candidates should already reside within the SF/Bay Area, CA region as we promote a hybrid work model with 2-3-days in office requirement (for synergy, collaboration, engagement, and camaraderie with peers and management).Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deploymentDesign, develop, code, test, and debug system softwareReview code and designAnalyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resourcesProvide post-production supportAssess third-party and open-source softwareQualifications and ExperienceBS degree in Computer Science or EngineeringExperience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targetsSolid programming experience in C or C+Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systemsFamiliarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and peer reviewExperience with RTOS, Embedded Linux, Android, and/or other embedded operating systemsExperience with networking technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skillsDesired Skills and ExperienceMS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldGood understanding of hardware devices such as MCU, CPU, Network Switch, etc.
