KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Will include some or all of the following:Manage a newly built team of 5-10 people responsible for maintaining accounting transactions in Geneva, specifically for our blocker portfoliosBuild out all special project, private credit, non-performing loan, and blocker structures in the system upon deal fundingTrack and process all distributions in the system (Geneva) and communicate details to relevant partiesPrepare distribution files and coordinate wires with TreasuryWork closely with our internal and external Tax teams on transfer pricingCollaborate with the Recon & Control team to ensure timely processing of cash activity in blocker accountsLiaise with core Investment Operations team and core Finance team to ensure system inputs result in desired outputsUnderstand complex investment structures and recording of accounting entries related to investment structures and their impact on reportingCreate and implement control processes surrounding accounting processing in GenevaCreate and implement desktop proceduresDesign, develop, and maintain an outsourcing model for identified proceduresTime sensitive ad hoc responsibilities as various requests ariseGENERAL QUALIFICATIONSDedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through skillsDetail-oriented, conscientious, and energetic professional with ability to think creativelyAbility to prioritize responsibilities, work under deadlines, and adapt to complex and changing circumstancesAbility to read and decipher complex legal documentsSelf-starter with initiativeStrong managerial skills and change agentStrong problem-solving skills and solutions oriented approachStrong interpersonal skills with capability to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firmStrong Excel skillsDESIRED BACKGROUND/EDUCATION6+ years of public accounting, investment operations, or other relevant work experience at a similar Investment Advisor in a rigorous environmentPrior work experience in complex investment structures and fixed income asset classes, with familiarity of bank loans a plusFour-year college degree with a strong academic backgroundMajor in accounting, finance or related degree requiredBain Capital is an equal opportunity employer.
