What you'll do Work with a team of accomplished engineers to design, implement and manage secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure.
Drive the design/architecture of our Infrastructure and developer platform to support GCP (including the tooling)Establish standards and reference architectures, guiding teams to have their services running in GCPDeliver high quality production code - Robust error handling, code must make efficient use of system resources, and trade-offs between efficiency and maintainability are well understood. Simplify code and resolve team architecture deficiencies.Provide technical expertise and drive the team's or group's roadmap.
Research and create short lived proofs of concept to evaluate and reduce the risk of new technologies.Lead complex features that require collaboration with multiple teams, usually across different groupsAmplify the contributions of team mates; advocate for good ideas while recognizing their source.Coordinate activities of other personnel.
This role requires 5+ years hands-on experience in implementing and/or maintaining highly complex GCP cloud environments. Minimum of 7+ years of software experience in cloud environments.Strong understanding of cloud computing and hands-on experience of migrating/operating workloads in GCPExperience with GCP Storage and essential GCP Networking technologies, GCP Storage Queues, KafkaExperience with Kubernetes and AKS cluster deployment and supportExperience automating with market tools (Terraform) and integrating systems using a high-level language (Go, Python).
