The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Operations Research Analyst, NH-IV to work at Air Force Cost Analysis Agency (AFCAA) located in the Washington, D.C. area. This federal job offers a rewarding and exciting career with benefits.Requirements: Must be U.S.

Citizen 5+ years of experience in the Cost Analysis field (preferably supporting Government programs) is highly desired. Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance. Bachelor's or Master's degree which includes at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.

At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. This position is designated as an acquisition Level III position. Incumbent must meet continuing certification requirements.

Relocation Incentives are available. Duties: Cost Analyst will be responsible for: Serves as Senior Cost Analyst with the responsibility for generating independent cost estimates and analysis in support of DoD acquisition programs and projects. Can articulate cost analysis experience and knowledge levels.

Executes Non-Advocate Cost Assessment (NACA) Program Tasks and basic cost estimating responsibilities associated with the preparation of system cost estimates. Provides support to the Director, Technical Director, and Division Chief in development of cost databases. Analyzes and evaluates products of subordinate level Air Force research and cost analysis organizations.

Performs special assignments or projects for the Air Force Secretariat, Air Staff, and the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency. Source of expertise on Life Cycle Cost estimating and cost analysis methodology Air Force-wide. Your qualifications will be evaluated based on your level of knowledge, skills abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of a wide range of methods and techniques used in cost, economic and operations research analysis and possession of analytical abilities, quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternatives solutions; especially for weapon systems.

Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data and estimating relationships Ability to understand the use of model and estimating relationships Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
