You will work collaboratively with engineers of various disciplines and participate in all aspects of FPGA and electrical hardware development, from requirements definition through design, validation, and testing. As an engineer that is part of the E-Space avionics team you will have frequent opportunities to test and operate your systems on-orbit.This position is based in Saratoga, CA.
What you will do:Develop FPGA architecture and requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplinesDevelop FPGA RTL code for Microsemi and other devices in either Verilog or VHDLPerform design verification including simulations, test benches, timing analysis and hardware testingDevelop documentation for FPGA operation and interfacing with other SW and FPGA systemsDevelop and participate in test campaigns, ranging from unit level to automated testing at the subsystem and system levelWhat you bring to this role:Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent7+ years of experience in FPGA development in Verilog or VHDL from design to verification and testingProficient in PCB design and reading schematicsDeep understanding of embedded softwareDemonstrated success working in a dynamic environmentBonus points:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalentDesign proficiency with Microsemi devices and toolsExperience with FPGAs and embedded systems in a radiation environment, including SEU/SEL impact and mitigation within spacecraft avionicsProficiency with lab tools and working with hardwareProficiency with JIRAProficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layoutEmbedded software development skills for ARM core processors$120,000 - $200,000 a yearThe estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question, which is based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
