We are looking to add a physician to our Pulmonology/Critical Care Medicine team at our Huntington VA Medical Center. We are seeking a highly motivated BE/BC Pulmonology Medicine/Critical Care physician, with an unrestricted MD/DO medical license, who shares our commitment to providing excellent care to our US Veterans.

The Hershel Woody Williams Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Huntington, W. Va. is a fully accredited 80-bed acute medical and surgical care facility that provides primary care and specialty health services, including radiology, mental health services, women's health care, prosthetics, bariatric surgery, pain management, palliative care, sleep medicine and more.

Major Duties/Responsibilities

Physicians will perform duties dealing with diseases involving the respiratory tract, such as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), for critical care or pulmonary patients.

  • Inpatient Pulmonary consultations
  • Perform and/or supervise procedures, including central line placement, intubation, bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and others as required
  • Outpatient Pulmonary clinic evaluations for new and follow-up patients
  • Interpretation of Pulmonary function tests
  • Actively involved in teaching Pulmonology fellows, residents and students. Physicians will periodically direct noon conferences for their didactic training
  • Support staff consists of PA's/NP's and registered nurses
  • Potential for an academic appointment with the Marshall University Health School of Medicine
