Experience:

24 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required.

3 months of travel experience is required.

Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license in hand at the time of application.

This role will require floating to multiple units

Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Additional Details:

UW Health requires TWO TB SKIN TESTS (PPDs) for onboarding. BLOOD TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED 1st PPD must be uploaded NO later than one week prior to start date (and must be dated within 12 weeks prior to start date). 2nd PPD must be uploaded within 30 days from start date (please note- assignments may be terminated if traveler does not meet compliance within 30 days).

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Shift Information: Day/Evening, 8/10/12 hours, Monday-Friday. -If can only do Pre/Post Op, hours will be 0730-2000 and no on call responsibilities. -If PACU, hours will be 0730-2000 and 0900-2130 with on-call responsibilities.

Perioperative experience required - including pre-op, phase II, PACU.

Pediatric perioperative experience strongly preferred.

Experience with special needs and complex care patient population.

Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.

Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.

Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.

On-call Optional: Call response time of 45 minutes; 45 minutes from phone call, dressed in scrubs and reporting to charge nurse.

Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation.

Maximum days off: 7 days
