This OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a Resident Engineer/Construction Manager for our San Diego, CA office . Be involved in projects with our PM/CM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Projects may span multiple disciplines, such as Heavy Rail, Transit and Roadway construction in the San Diego areaYour ImpactPlans, reviews and assigns work of subordinate field or construction field office personnelReviews construction processes and engineering layoutsReviews project activities with client and contractor's field supervision resolving disputes and other daily issuesOversees materials testing activitiesReviews daily inspection reports and other project documentationAttends and may lead construction meetings with client and contractorsExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needsYou AreRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering-related field (eg Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, etc.) A minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience, including Resident Engineer/Construction Manager or related roles (or equivalent working knowledge/experience) on transportation improvement projects valued at $10M and greaterProfessional Engineer (PE)/Licensed Civil Engineer or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) in the State of CaliforniaA demonstrated ability to read and completely understand contract documents A working knowledge of regulations and applicable codes, standards, and materials (eg FTA, FRA, FHWA, AREMA, SCRRA, LOSSAN Design Criteria and Engineering Standard Drawings, CEQA, NEPA, etc.

)Effective oral and written communication skillsValid, current California Driver's licenseProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesCompensation and Benefits:WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.Expected Salary: $104,400 - $213,000WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law
