Continuing the path of growth, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our local team. The Senior Resident Engineer, with the support of a strong nationally recognized technical staff, will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of the water and wastewater construction market along with a proven reputation within Northern California to successfully execute projects, to help build and grow our practiceRole accountabilities:Providing construction leadership through all phases of projects up to and including managing project teams' daily construction activities, managing contracts, maintaining QA/QC requirements and approaches, while providing clients with regular progress updates.Monitoring performance of contractors, overall site safety, subcontractors and suppliers and follows up on and informs the clients of any related including any changes or deviation from plan, on a regular basis.

Managing development of scopes of work and budgets for various projects.Working with Project/Program Manager to plan, manage, execute, and deliver various engineering projects on time, on budget and to the performance expectations of the client.Supervising and supporting the work of others; to include mentoring junior level technical staff.

Will utilize their expert knowledge to manage QA material testing, reviews technical submittals for conformance with the contract documents, read and interprets technical specifications, recommend to the Project Manager issuance of deficiency notices for non-conformances, and monitors the construction contractor's execution of their quality control (QC) plan.Using both their oral and written communication skills to effectively lead and conduct progress, project, safety, scheduling and other contract administration meetings with client, local agencies, and the community.Recommending improvements to the project cost, budgets, and schedules, requiring experience using Primavera or MS Project.

Other responsibilities will include acting as liaison to design staff for obtaining field information related to the answering of correspondence, RFI's and review of shop drawings.Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications15 years' total experience, with a minimum 10 years of construction experience on water wastewater plants & facilities projects as a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager. Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Construction.

California PE Experience managing construction budgets and schedules including estimating and change order negotiating.Preferred Qualifications18+ years of construction experience specifically related to water or wastewater facilities, with a minimum of 10 years' experience on projects as a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager on a $50+ million water/wastewater project.Masters' degree in Engineering, Construction or a BS in these fields and an MBA.

CCM is also highly desired.US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management CertificationActive participation in a regional or national professional association.Previous experience successfully leading project pursuits including both developing proposal approaches and overseeing making presentations to major clients and agencies.
