We're looking for top-notch search engineering talents in the area of information retrieval, search indexing, Elasticsearch, Lucene, algorithms, relevance & ranking, data mining, machine learning, data analysis & metrics, query processing, multi-lingual search and multi-modal search.In this role, you will be part of our unique Search and Discovery team. We are looking for someone with expertise in information retrieval and a passion for creating exceptional search experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of search algorithms and systems. As an individual contributor to the Search and Discovery Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our search and recommendation capabilities and driving the discovery of deals and content for our users. You will be building products using technologies such as AWS SageMaker, Tensforflow, Pytorch, LLM, Elastic Search, REST web services, SQS/Kafka, Vector Database, HBase, Machine Learning, and more.
What You'll Do:This role will work across the entire ML lifecycle (dataset generation, training frameworks, compute, evaluation, and deployment) and work directly with modeling teamsThis team is a good fit if you are excited to work on broad, ambiguous problems and develop across the entire ML stackBuild end-to-end machine learning pipelines and integrate them into core product workflowsDesign, architect and build reliability, observability and utilization infrastructure for cloud computing resources.Design, architect and build cloud ML platform solutions related but not limited to resource management, monitoring, allocation, and job schedulingEncourage change, especially in support of ML engineering best practices, and maintain a high standard of excellence.Collaborate with engineers within the team and across the entire company to solve complex data problems at scale.
Collaborate with machine learning and data scientists to identify and resolve requirements in order to improve the training cost and turnaround time on the ML platformWrite high quality, product level code that is easy to maintain and test following standard methodologiesWhat We're Looking For:8+ years or more relevant professional experience.Experience with building software components to address production, full-stack machine learning challengesKnowledge of the open source landscape with judgment on when to choose open source versus build in-houseExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience working with cloud data processing technologies such as Apache Spark, ElasticSearch, Presto, SQL, etc. (3+ yrs)Proficiency in at least two of: Linux, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes (5+ yrs)Experience in distributed computing (7+ yrs)Experience working with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure (5+ yrs)Experience with HW resource management for ML training and/or deploymentExperience with ML modeling frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.
