Foster City, CASoftware - Embedded Software & Systems Integration/Full-time/HybridZoox has embarked on a highly ambitious journey to develop a full-stack autonomous mobility solution for our cities. Before a Zoox robot drives on a real road, we have to test its functionality and behavior.
This is where the Test Platform development team comes in. We work to design and develop high-fidelity testing platforms to validate software systems running on our AI Compute Stack.In this role, you will: Architect and develop test platforms for system integration testing, with a focus on developing reliable, high-performance tools that provide sensor data to the robotContribute to the development of our on-robot software infrastructureContribute to the design and development of our integration testing frameworkGuide client teams in building tests and tools on top of our test platformsQualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of experienceExperience programming in Python and C+ in large code basesExperience designing software and toolingStrong track record of working cross-functionally in a multidisciplinary engineering teamA firm understanding of the software life cycle and common software design principlesBonus QualificationsExperience with robot middleware (ex: ROS)Experience developing test platforms, including debugging system integration issuesExpert-level knowledge of LinuxCompensationThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights.
The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $220,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.
Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
