Surgical Technologist Certified, Surg General - Full Time

Summary:

Surgical technologists are allied health professionals,who are an integral part of the team of medical practitionersproviding surgical care to patients. Surgical technologists workunder the supervision of a surgeon and RN to facilitate the safeand effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuringthat the operating room environment is safe, that equipmentfunctions properly, and that the operative procedure is conductedunder conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgicaltechnologists possess expertise in the theory and application ofsterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of humananatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools andtechnologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasivetherapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Requirements:

• OR experience required for members of the CVTeam
• BLS Provider certificationrequired.
• Current Louisiana ST Certificationrequired.
• LVN/LPN considered with requiredlicense, training, and experience.

5 Days-8Hours
