The SM is a key technical contributor to the programs supported by the section and in addition, performs direct line management activities for approximately 10-20 engineers.Responsibilities (Functional):Champion the technical development, training, mentoring, performance management, career development and opportunities, and resource allocation of their section membersEnsure two-way communications for section members and serves as a day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning ensuring program success along technical, cost and schedule parameters, as well as section member job assignments, performance, and recognitionCoordinate program staffing needs and reductions, optimizing resource utilization and interviewing applicantsTeam with the Department Manager in the execution of RIS Engineering goals and will be expected to actively participate in Department level meetingsLead and/or support the development of Basis of Estimate's (BOEs) for proposalsDevelop and maintain technical roadmaps for their capabilities and for technical leadership of the sectionResponsibilities (Technical):Provide both system-level engineering and technical leadership expertise to a cross-functional engineering team including management of system-level requirements and supporting allocation of requirements to lower-level functionsParticipate in technical reviews throughout the product lifecycle of design, development, integration and test, and flight test requirements verificationExercise technical acuity and an understanding of RIS products/systems, production methods, development processes and support methodologiesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of relevant experience ORAdvanced degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of relevant experience ORMust have proven leadership skills and behaviorsMust have exceptional communication skills - both written and verbalDomain knowledge in radar systems and RF architecturesExperience in one or more of the following as it pertains to RF/Radar systems: Architecture development; Signal Processing (AMTI); Tracking; Resource Management; Software architecture; Data analysisExperience and/or ability to generate, update and maintain code developed in one or more of the following: C, C+, Java, CUDA, MATLABWorking knowledge of EVMS & related tools for managing program cost and scheduleU.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systemsMust currently have an active and in-scope DoD Secret US security clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain an in-scope DoD Top Secret ClearanceMust have ability to obtain and maintain an SSBI and/or Special Access Program (SAP) ClearanceExcept in rare circumstances, only U.S.

citizens are eligible for a security clearanceThis position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate Government Agency for non-U.S. personsPreferred Qualifications:An active and in-scope DoD Top Secret ClearanceFunctional management experienceExperience leading an IPT or cross-functional team in program executionExperience supporting proposal development, particularly Basis of Estimate (BOE) developmentExperience with MBSE languages and tools including SysML, UML, Cameo, and/or RhapsodyPerformance predictions and analysis of data from radars on various platformsExperience with financial management, such as a past role as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead or Cost Account Manager (CAM)Current certification in Earned Value Management (EVM)Experience supporting a software development or maintenance program using Agile or Scrum methodologiesWork experience with one of the following areas related to radar systems: Signal Processing, search or track, surveillance, reconnaissance, synthetic aperture radar mapping, electronic protection, ID, or adaptive techniquesEmployee Referral Award Eligibility: Only employees currently within RMD and RI&S have the potential to receive a Referral Award for submitting a referral to RMD and RI&S roles.

ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the Referral AwardThe salary range for this role is 103,000 USD - 215,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
