:Tax Manager - Financial Services Mazars USA is hiring - If you are looking for a career where you can truly have a say, make an impact, and bevalued, Mazars is the right place for you!Our Tax practice seeks an experienced and accomplished Tax professional with strong technical skills supporting the financial services market space, and strong leadership capabilities, to join our Financial Services Tax team as a Tax Manager. In this position you will utilize your skills and experience to provide sophisticated tax compliance and tax advisory services to our valued clients in the banks, asset management, investments, hedge funds, and capital market space.

You will assist in the professional development of other tax staff, and you will participate in client proposals and other new business development opportunities.This is a national practice, with a preferred location in either the Boston, New York City, Long Island (Woodbury NY), New Jersey, or Philadelphia (Ft. Washington, PA) area offices.

However, we will consider qualified candidates for an Mazars office with a U.S. location. We also offer flexible work hours and locations: in office and hybrid.What You Will Do:Plan, develop and execute tax client engagements to assure timely filing of all client related tax returnsDelegate responsibilities to the tax engagement team and communicate with tax partners on all client related tax mattersCollaborate with other firm tax teams to ensure most effective tax service for the clientReview all tax work completed by other tax staff to ensure accuracy, to provide feedback, and offer training and mentoring opportunitiesPossess technical competencies on complex tax topics and share with other tax staffProvide tax compliance, provision and advisory services to partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations for a variety of clients in the banking, investments, asset management and capital markets industriesSupervise and review the work of other tax staff on large and complex tax engagements, including the calculations of estimated payments, extensions, tax returns and provisionsResearch and respond to client related federal and state tax notices that impact clients' tax planning, and represent the clients in any potential tax auditIdentify additional tax planning opportunities that may be beneficial to clientsDevelop and maintain effective client relationships during the engagement and throughout the yearParticipate in new business development and proposal activities that may impact the firm, including identification, budgeting and participation in oralsStay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating their impact on client businessesWhat We Seek:Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business-related fieldAn advanced tax related degree (MST, LLM, JD) is preferredCPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required5+ years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm, professional services firm or tax consulting practiceExperience managing multiple tax client engagements simultaneously, on time and within budgetExperience managing and mentoring other tax staff teamsSignificant experience in preparation and review of corporate and partnership tax returnsExperience with banking, asset management, investments, and broker-dealer companies preferredProficiency with CCH, Axcess, Prosystem and other tax related softwareExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)Strong analytical, organizational, and tax research skillsStrong leadership, mentoring and staff development skillsAbility to travel to client locations when neededAuthorized to work in the U.S.
