Territory Sales Manager, AMI/AMR Water Meters

We're seeking a technical sales professional with a successful background selling Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and/or Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) technologies used for municipal, residential, and commercial water utilities. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will lead the strategic and tactical sales execution and market expansion of AMI/AMR Smart Metering solutions throughout the Western half of WA state.

Prior experience selling AMI/AMR water meter solutions to municipalities or water authorities is essential. This is a lucrative opportunity to join a well-established and growing supplier of waterworks, HVAC, plumbing, and metering products, with an impressive 90-year reputation of providing top-tier customer service to municipalities, general contractors, and construction companies. Compensation includes an attractive base salary, lucrative annual bonus incentive, and monthly vehicle allowance.

Comprehensive benefits include 401-K with company match, annual profit-sharing bonus, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, and paid vacation, volunteer hours, sick leave, and holidays. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

5+ years of sales experience providing AMI/AMR water meter solutions to municipalities in a direct sales environment is required. Utilizes a solution-based sales approach with strong relationship management skills. Strong competitive drive with a consistent track record of high sales achievements and new business growth.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide rudimentary water meter troubleshooting support to existing customers. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled in conducting internal sales training and external product training to customers.

Ability to attend industry association meetings, conferences, and tradeshows to identify new sales opportunities and foster business relationships. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/ERP systems to manage customer accounts, contacts, and opportunities. Passionate about learning new technologies and committed to exceeding customer expectations.

Maintains a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Ability and willingness to travel up to 65%. Candidates must currently live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Western half of Washington state.
