Grandview Medical Center is a 402-bed hospital, known for their acute care and surgical facility, serves the Birmingham community. It is home to a level III NICU, private labor/delivery rooms and post-partum rooms, and educational classes for new parents.

Birmingham, Alabama, is in the heart of the Southeast known for its rich history in civil rights and its growing culinary and arts scenes. The city is served by Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM), the largest airport in the state, and is a central hub for I-20, I-65, and I-459, making it easily accessible by road. Birmingham is located near several major cities, including Atlanta, Georgia (about 2.5 hours east), and Nashville, Tennessee (about 3 hours north). OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction. This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.

• Caring for all pregnant women who present emergent, regardless of circumstance
• Cultivating relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel
• Supporting private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance
• Caring for unassigned patients
• Evaluating and treating triage patients
• Providing consultation to the ED
• Monitoring labor
• Delivering babies
• Performing surgery and surgical assists
• Evaluating and treating postpartum patients
