Data Governance Manager
Our client, a leading global insurer, are currently in the process of bringing their data operations in-house and are seeking a proactive Data Governance Manager/Lead to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you will spearhead data governance initiatives, oversee metadata, quality, MDM, and reference data management, and collaborate closely with various business units to establish policies and adapt frameworks, shaping the future of the client's data landscape.
We are seeking individuals with a genuine passion for data, who are eager to innovate and drive transformative change in the client's data governance practices.
Key Experience:
- Extensive expertise in data governance, metadata management, data quality, MDM, and reference data management, with essential experience in the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with leading data quality tools and governance platforms, including Azure Purview, Profisee, etc.
- Proven track record of formalising and implementing data governance functions within complex organisational structures.
- Strong capability in crafting and implementing data policies and standards.
- Ability to customise theoretical frameworks (eg, DAMA, DCAM) to align with the organisation's unique culture.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective engagement with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in crafting and implementing data policies and standards to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Preferential experience in Microsoft Azure environments.
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of up to £90,000 per annum, inclusive of benefits. Additionally, the role offers a hybrid working model (2-3 days in the client's City based offices).
