Data Engineer - AWS DMS, Spark, Glue, ETL, Oracle - 100% Remote Europe (Contract)

Data Engineer - AWS DMS, Spark, Glue, ETL, Oracle - 100% Remote Europe

A global organisation require a Data Engineer to join the team on a long-term project.

This will be an initial 12 months+ contract with the opportunity for extensions.

The position can be worked 100% remotely from anywhere in Europe.

Key Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible of implementation of data movement flows (AWS DMS, Oracle Golden Gate, Transactional Replication, Qlik data integration, SSIS, GLUE Spark, phyton, driver for DB, DMS, Striim)
  • Responsible of infrastructure queues (Rabbit MQ, AmazonMQ, AWS Kinesis)
  • Work on data provisioning
  • Understand how data works in background
  • Evaluate the impact of the data movement on the stability of the systems
  • Define and monitor data policies
  • Responsible of coherence of data moved between source and destination
  • Model and transform data in coherence with data quality definition
  • Responsible on security roles implementation and encryption of data flows.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, offer and execute resolution to data flows issues.
  • Experience on creation of ETL and ELT
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle RAC, Postgres, MongoDB)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux
  • Monitor, tune and manage data flows
  • Ability to work independently
  • Enjoy constantly learning new technologies and contributing to the knowledge of others.
  • Fluent in English
