ETL Developer - Moody's - Regulatory Reporting - Banking

Excellent opportunity opens for an experienced Developer with a strong Data understanding and a knowledge of Regulatory Reporting Tooling to join a growing International Bank's Digital Transformation Journey. Bringing a strong working knowledge of Data, you will provide technical support for loading data to Moody's Banking Cloud tool which will facilitate the Bank's regulatory reporting.

Reporting to the Solution Architect and working closely with the Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst and Project Manager, the role will support in implementing a new regulatory reporting tool within the Bank.

KEY WORK OUTPUTS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Engage with the Regulatory Reporting Project BA to understand the reporting requirements and functionality of the Moody's Banking Cloud regulatory reporting tool.
• Perform the data loading to the Moody's tool either manually or running scripts for extracting data from existing sources (system and manual)
• Provide the functional analysis and specifications of the data outputs required, documenting what data transformation is required and working closely with the ETL developer.
• Work closely with the BA to provide the functional analysis and specifications required to parameterise and configure the Moody's Banking Cloud tool.
• Provide support to the Data Warehouse/ETL developer by attending data mapping workshops where required.
• Establish data quality standards and implement processes and procedures to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency.
• Create test cases and scenarios for unit testing, SIT/Regression testing where required.
• Perform root cause analysis, remediation, and process improvements to strengthen operational controls and enhance business processes
• Assist with improving current testing standards to drive data integrity, ensuring Back End data connections and workflows are efficient and stable while maintaining reliable and accurate Front End dashboard reports
• Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise on the end-to-end Regulatory and Procedures as well as supporting operational procedures and guidelines
• Perform Unit testing, Systems Integration and regression testing ensuring the solution is performing correctly
• Work closely with Implementation Partner, vendor and Head of Application Services with the provisioning of the TEST and Production environments with special attention to security requirements, user access, smoke test and delivery and installation of Banking Cloud Client.
• Provide documentation for handover to Production support that details the configuration/parameterisation settings in the Moody's tool, including agreed user access.
• Work closely with IT teams to define the functional requirements for any data migration that may be required.
• Work in Agile pods to define business data requirements for digital technology solutions, identify any opportunities to improve, refine and re-develop technology solutions with Product Owners.
• Support the transition to BAU support phase, provided any additional documentation requirements as agreed and handover workshops as defined by the project.
• Provide expertise to fix technical data issues, bug fixes and validation of corrections within the data to ensure successful testing.

Knowledge & Experience

• Understanding of ETL capabilities
• Sound knowledge of Transact SQL Queries
• Experience and knowledge of Banking, specifically around Finance and Regulatory Reporting
• Experience configuring & supporting the Moody's Banking Cloud Tool
• Prior experience in implementation of Moody's Banking Cloud tool
• Experience of Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience working with SQL databases
