Cybersecurity Project Manager (Contract)
Location: West Sussex Country: UK Rate: £550 - £600
We are currently looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee two critical projects within our client's IT Security and Infrastructure domain.
The Project Manager will be overseeing critical security projects covering multiple areas, including user access, network and device management, and event monitoring. You will also lead the transition of their in-house SOC to a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), incorporating Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Microsoft Sentinel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including internal teams, third-party vendors, and service providers
- Oversee all aspects of projects; set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress.
Required skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years working experience as a Project Manager within the IT sector, with a strong background in cybersecurity projects.
- Experience managing identity access management and elements of AD migration
- In-depth understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools (eg, PMP, PRINCE2 certification preferred)
- Experience with user and privileged access management, network security, device management, backups and recovery strategies, and event monitoring.
