My client is seeking an Interim Programme Manager to lead and support the implementation of their eHospital project. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful integration of digital solutions within the hospital, enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of NHS operations, and a proven track record in managing large-scale healthcare projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the eHospital project, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clinical, technical, and administrative teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams, senior management, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential project challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with NHS policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Oversee the allocation and utilization of project resources, including personnel, technology, and finances.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to the eHospital project.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports to the senior management team and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the change management process to facilitate smooth adoption of new digital solutions.
  • Develop and execute training and support programs for staff to ensure effective utilization of eHospital systems.
  • Address and resolve any resistance to change among staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in programme/project management, preferably within the NHS or healthcare sector.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NHS operations, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Professional certification in project management (eg, PRINCE2, PMP).
  • Experience with eHospital systems or similar healthcare IT implementations.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows and hospital operations.
