Database Engineer/DBA - SQL-Server, PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL - Powershell/Shell script - Hedge Fund

Hybrid working.* 3 days office

Leading Investment Management client is looking for a Database Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

Skills and experience required:

3 years + experience in a similar role (Essential)
Experience in database administration (at least two of the following: SQL-Server, PostgreSQL and NoSQL)
Basic understanding of DB monitoring, analysis, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
Experience in one or more database programming languages (SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL etc.) and BI services (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) for design, maintain, administrate, secure, backup and recovery across production, back test, UAT and development environments
Experience of managing security and permissions
Knowledge of industry best practices
Good attention to detail, testing and documentation
Organized with a proactive approach to work. Team player essential.
Experience in Scripting in Powershell/Shell script, Python would be a plus
Experience in cloud DB admin would be a plus
Experience within a similar environment- HIGHLY DESIRABLE
