Maintenance Engineering Planner (Contract/Permanent)

Location: Dumfries & Galloway Country: UK Rate: £50 per hour
 

iO associates is looking for a Maintenance Engineering Planner to join our client who is a leading manufacturer in Scotland. As a Maintenance Engineering Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimising production efficiency by meticulously planning for forecasted downtime and repairs.

You will be responsible for managing maintenance planning schedules, coordinating planned work, ensuring safety compliance, utilizing CMMS, and leading a team in Scotland.

Title: Maintenance Planner
Location: Scotland
Duration: 3-Month Contract (Rolling, potential for permanent)
On-site: 5 days a week
Interview Availability: Slots available this week; Immediate start on Monday

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance planning schedules and coordinate planned work, including shutdown planning.
  • Ensure safety, maintenance, and operational requirements are met.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Apply modern maintenance processes and techniques.
  • Lead a team to execute planned maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering qualification (eg, HNC).
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Proficient in CMMS and IT skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project).
  • Knowledge of safety standards for chemical and machinery manufacturing plant equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team and interface effectively with internal and external personnel.
  • Adaptability to support on-site outside normal working hours.
