Lead Product Manager (Contract)

Product Lead - Payment Facilitators

Hybrid - London (Canary Wharf) 2-3 days onsite.

Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our globally renowned financial services business for a Product Manager to work in the Payment Commerce and Solutions team.

Specialising in managing Payment Facilitators, you'll be an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value.

Utilising your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Job responsibilities

  • Be an SME in the space of payment facilitators
  • You will think holistically across the end-to-end journey of a customer to develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers and be comfortable engaging with our global technical and engineering teams
  • Drive the strategic position for our European Acquiring product offering
  • Manage discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Own, maintain, and develop a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Build a deep understanding of our customers across different types of businesses, synthesizing data and research to outline use cases and potential friction points
  • Build and harvest strong cross functional relationships. Working with stakeholders to execute on our strategic roadmap.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • An energetic self-starter experienced in creating alignment between multiple teams
  • Proven Payments knowledge specifically within Acquiring and specifically payment facilitators
  • Strong and experienced in product management with 5+ years. You have experience of working with localising products across European region.
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • A strategic decision maker, taking into consideration not only business needs, but especially the technical needs as well as the needs of the team
  • Demonstrable communication skills
  • Demonstrable curiosity and drive, intrigued on how payments work, whether a platform's performance, application architecture, or the scalability of a product
  • You promote strong teamwork, healthy collaboration, and inclusivity
  • Keen industry knowledge and are aware of regulatory updates

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience of working on product-led sales and growth problems (acquisition, activation, retention)
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organisation.
